Black n white
Karen Carmichael had just turned off the water of the shower. Drops of water cascaded down from her body as she reached for the towel. Stepping from the shower, she glanced at herself in the mirror and smiled. She had always considered herself to be a looker. You know, that type of women that men couldn’t help but stare at. Her dark black hair hung down over her more then ample breast. And certainly her twenty-six inch waist didn’t hurt her appearance any…not at all. “Yes” she thought to herself… “You’re a looker alright”. As she started to dry herself off… then she thought that she heard a noise. She froze in her tracks as she listened to the quiet apartment. She stood in frozen terror as she waited for another sound. But there was none.
“God … I’m being paranoid in my own apartment.” she said out loud to herself as she went back to drying her self off. As she dried off her hair … she heard the noise again. She wrapped the towel around her body just above her breast and tucked it in itself. She slowly made her way from the bathroom.
“Mark is that you?” she called out. It had to be him. Her ex-boyfriend was the only one with a key. And he always showed up at the most inopportune time. But there was no response. Not from Mark nor any one else.
She made her way out from the bedroom…only to find her cat … Elvis, walking among the dirty dishes on the counter.
She crossed her arms across her chest and smiled at the large black tom cat.
“Elvis… git down from there. I should have known it was you… you stupid cat.” she said to the cat that apparently wasn’t listening to her. She turned to go back into the bedroom to get dressed.
But as she started to renter her bedroom, the door slammed shut, hitting her square in the face… breaking her nose… and knocking her backwards onto the floor. She was out cold.
Now I'm not going to tell you what happens to Karen Carmichael, but i will tell you that it will set off a chain of events that will take Matt Dugan down a path that will put Matt and his team of Elite to the ultimate test. Then if to only add to his frustration, Matt's ex-girlfriend and Kelly's arch rival Detective Sharon Stone gets assigned to his team. Things gets heated rather quickly.
Faced to reality that the suspect from a murder spree from twenty-two years in his past might be back to his old dirty tricks again, Matt pulls out all stops as the pieces of the puzzle start falling to into place. The ending with give you a bit of also satisfaction but you'll admire Kelly for teaching Matt another lesson about women. Women can do anything in heels. Especially when the men folk say that they can't.
